Playa Esmeralda (Emerald Beach) is a small, somewhat secluded beach in the South Zone of Puerto Vallarta, known for its golden sand, tranquil turquoise waters, and a more isolated atmosphere, ideal for relaxing and swimming.
How to get there
The most common access is usually via a path or corridor between the Sierra del Mar and Casa Bonita condominiums, near kilometer 7.5 of the highway. It can be reached by car, taxi, or by taking the local bus bound for Mismaloya.
Expert tip
If you have a car, arrive early to be able to park, as there is little space for cars. And if you don't have a car, also arrive early, as the beach is small and fills up with bathers. There are no restrooms or restaurants, so keep that in mind and bring what you need.
