Playa Los Tules is a tranquil beach in the Hotel Zone, characterized by its mild to moderate waves, light sand, and wide expanse. It is known for being one of the calmer beaches in the hotel area, ideal for walking and sunbathing.
How to get there
By Bus: Take any route that travels along Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue (the main boulevard) and get off at the Super La Playa bus stop, one corner before reaching Plaza Caracol. Walk toward the beach from there. By Taxi/Uber: Ask to be dropped off at the public access point next to Los Tules Villas del Sol or beside the La Madalena restaurant. These points offer direct entry to the beach.
Expert tip
This beach is suitable for the whole family. The best part is next to the Los Tules Condominium, where the beach club of the Las Palmas hotel is located. It is best to avoid it during the rainy season (June through October) because there is an arroyo (stream) where a crocodile is known to live, and when there are heavy storms, the river carries a lot of water and drags debris and a crocodile along. Always arrive early because parking is scarce and only available along the avenue. If you are coming by Uber or taxi, the access point is next to the La Madalena restaurant.
